Cognac van ’t Gelutt is a colt by the currently highly successful stallion Ermitage Kalone. This long-legged and elegant foal moves with lightness and already shows great balance and power in his canter — qualities that make him particularly promising for the future.

His dam, Vernazza, is a young mare by Verdi, out of Kracotte Z, who herself is a daughter of none other than Narcotique de Muze II. This mare needs no introduction: she competed successfully at the 1.60m 5* level and is the dam of an impressive string of Grand Prix horses. Kracotte’s first offspring, Domperignon Pommex Z and Chattanooga Pommex Z, are currently performing notably under the riders of Stephex Stables at the 7-year-old level.

With a pedigree that combines only proven performance genes, Cognac van ’t Gelutt is undoubtedly one of the highlights of the collection — a distinctly athletic foal with the genetic foundation to compete at the very highest level.
