The 27th edition of the Belgian Foal Auction took place again on Friday evening at a packed Sentower Park. The atmosphere at Sentower Park was lively, and the international audience was treated to an evening full of intense bidding duels.
For the foal Breezer van 't Gelutt, a fierce bidding war ensued, and the offspring of Cornet Obolensky eventually went to Ireland for €29,000. It wasn't just Ireland that was represented; no fewer than four foals were sold to Spain, including Butterfly ST (€15,000) and Babelutte van de Mispelaere (€14,000). Furthermore, the foals found their way to Germany, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, and beyond.
The auction committee of the Belgian Foal Auction looks back with satisfaction on their 27th edition. "We gave the opportunity to foals with both proven and young, upcoming sires. We feel honored that this was appreciated by the experts."
With an average price of €10,500 and 29 out of 32 foals sold, we reaffirm that the Belgian Foal Auction remains a stable market value in the rapidly changing auction landscape.
